Arnoya Norway Arnøya is part of the municipality Skjervøy, Troms. The municipality consists of several islands which are Arnøya, Kågen, Laukøy, Uløya and Skervøya which is also a Community Centre and home to appr 2,300 people, total population on the islands is apr 3000. Population of this island is appr 360 in size of 276 km2, provided with frequent ferry service and it takes about 30 minutes to get here. Large ferry is suitable for all types of vehicles, but there's another alternative to get here aswell. Tromsø Skervøy route operated speed boat (no cars) gives another possibility to access the island. The journey takes appr 2 hours and is filled with breathtaking scenery. The road circulating the island Arnøya is 75 km long with regular bus transport, taxis and fuel distribution points, two stores/mail and accommodation. Four of island's villages (Lauksletta, Arnøyhamn, Akkarvik Årviksanden) are vibrant and year round inhabited.
